ROCKFORD
cheryl borton raley 3 weeks ago
I am looking for any information on Borton (also Rockford, stockall and Tantony-but they are not on your list yet).
Thank you
Burial information only I'm afraid on this surname:
Burial Date
18 Sep 1728, Mary, buried St. Peter & St. Paul, Upton Upon Severn, Worcestershire
10 Dec 1766, Ann, buried Holy Trinity, Sutton Coldfield, Warwickshire
16 May 1767, Hannah, buried St. Thomas, Stockton-on-Tees, County Durham
2 Jul 1771, Susannah, as above
4 Jul 1785, Wilson, age 5 weeks, as above
8 Oct 1786, William, age 68, buried Holy Trinity as above.
The only Borton I have is a recent one who died in 1968 and I don't normally post anything new-ish as I would hate to upset the family of the deceased. The information on Tantony is further down this page.
SAPWELL
I found an 1881 Census Entry for Amelia's parents, George and Amelia:
George SAPWELL, Head, Married, Male, age 64, born Newport Pagnell, occupation Farmer
Amelia SAPWELL, Wife, Married, Female, age 69, born Newport Pagnell
(George KEMP, Lodger, Widower, Male, age 54, Broughton, Groom N D)
Dwelling Newport Road, Census Place Great Linford, Buckingham, England, Family History Library Film 1341358, Public Records Office Reference RG11, Piece / Folio 1479 / 66, Page Number 1
Hannah Sapwell
Note: There is also another Sapwell family member buried in the same church and another buried in a nearby churchyard in New Bradwell but since these are in the last 50 years I won't publish them as I wouldn't like to intrude upon a family's grief.
And finally (without photographs) buried in St. Michael's graveyard in Lavendon:
Buried 6 April 1816 Sophia Sapwell age 18 and
buried 25 Jul 1817 William Sapwell age 16.

The information I have for this surname comes from the Church of Holy Trinity, Bledlow in Buckinghamshire and was passed to my one of the people collecting memorial information, I haven't been over to take any photographs yet but here are the details of two memorials inside the church.

WORSEY
Karen Edwards 3 weeks ago
Thanks for all the wonderful work, do you have anything on the Worsey family from Leeds, Yorkshire - this would be William Worsey or William or John Worsey from Staffordshire. The Yorkshire link would be May 1832 for William or his father John Worsey in Staffordshire 1870 and further antecedants using both John and William Worsey still in Staffordshire. I have a William b. 1781 d. not known, then I have John b. 1755 d. unknown, then another John b. 1729 at Penkridge, d. dated unknown at Penkridge also. Any information on the ....... Worsey families would be much appreciated. I am in Australia and can be contacted at rustykj@gmail.com .
Thank you for all this wonderful work it really is much appreciated, regards Karen
Hi Karen, I have no photographs of Worsey and nothing at all in Yorkshire. But I do have three burials listed in Staffordshire.
Burial Date
20 May 1817, Sarah Worsey, age 67, buried St. Margaret, Great Barr, Staffordshire
27 Jan 1820, Thomas Worsey, age 88, same church
8 Jun 1821, Charles Worsey, age 72, same church
